Fireworks!

Last night I picked up some fireworks alongside the river, but I managed to restrain myself into only lighting the sparklers we put in our krathong.

I got an assortment of sparklers, cherry bombs, bottle rockets, and a few other things I'm not sure what they do.. Like this cock rocket. I love all the packaging. Back in LA I have a bunch of fireworks wrappers from India. This one reminds me of my friend Zak in Berkeley.

The night before I moved to LA was the 4th of July. We fired of some things (mostly farts), and sat around watching Night Of The Living Dead, Dawn Of The Dead, and Day Of The Dead. Zak told me about when he was a kid, he and his friends would ride their bikes down to the Berkeley marina early in the morning and find all the unused fireworks people had dropped.

He particularly loved the packaging off the Mexican fireworks. I know Zak will love the one above since it's got a cock on it. This is him at Halloween years ago. He sent it in to Jones Soda and they made a label out of it.

I'm sure I'll shoot a few of these off tonight, but I want to save some for when people come to visit us. I also bought a bunch of the balloon lanterns for later on too. So come visit us and we'll set a few things off!

I believe Colin & Daniel are coming back to Chiang Mai in mid-december.
