Ray hasn't learned to talk yet, but we're seriously thinking of starting him on sign language. My friend Chris has been pointing us at the right books. But lookee here. He's already got a head start at telling people off! I think that might be Italian?

Sophia can say "hello", "bye bye" "milk" and "more" in sign language We're working on "finished" and "water." Unfortunately hello, bye bye, and milk are the same sign, so you have to take context into account. But she's talking up a storm so it clearly hasn't slowed down her vocalization. She can say (out loud) "mama" "dad" "uh oh" "tic doc" and "dirt". I think I heard her say "tape" yesterday, too (don't ask).
