Super Techno Family

So it took a few years, but I've finally dragged my family into the 21st century.

In the last couple weeks, my dad got on the internet for the first time. He reads my blog everyday. He's learned to receive email. And send it too.

My mom, who has been surfing the net at a blazing 56k for years, just upgraded to DSL. She also reads my blog every day. She'll be able to check out all the quicktime movies of Rayluk now. She's not ready to let go of her AOL account, but this is a start. I've tried checking my email when I've gone to visit and I gotta say it's been painful. I think maybe she's trying make sure we come to visit.

Now Sow's parents are a different deal altogether. I doubt we'll ever see them using a computer, but maybe we have a chance with Sow's two brothers. We've given them our email addresses and I'm even thinking of setting Duk up with an email account while he's here. He'll just have to go into town to check his mail. We're giving them Sow's digital HP camera I got from work as a gift. That way they can at least take the camera to the digital Fuji shop in town to send us pics.

See how much a little baby can accomplish...
